Welcome to Semester 2, 2011

Hi everyone,

Welcome to QDAB203: Indigenous Contemporary Issues for Semester 2, 2011.

This is the second year Lisa and I are running this unit and we're excited because it gives us a chance to fix up the parts that didn't work, as well as to add in things that we'd like to try.

As you can tell, we like to use a mixture of both face-to-face and online experiences. If you don't have access to a computer or the internet, you will be fine and you shouldn't be disadvantaged, you will experience the unit the way you do with your other units.

But if you do have access, then we can do so much more.

The most important thing is to not panic if all this looks too unfamiliar. You can't run until you can walk. And it's the same here with the content of the unit and with the technology stuff we're using to deliver and enhance it. Just move one click at a time, and you'll be fine.

I hope to be posting once a week at a minimum, in line with the rate you would be reading the readings, viewing the lectures and working on assignments.

We were thinking of creating a private Facebook group, so let us know if you're on Facebook and maybe we'll give it a try.

In the meantime, please catch up with us online, you can find me here.

Once again, it's great to 'meet' you. Lisa will be posting a post-Residential-1 wrap up over the next few days.

Yarn soon, Cheers, Leesa
